Andean Princess Tea

This rare, organic black tea is grown in Colombia! The fresh, high-grown leaves are blended with Andean raspberries and Isabella grapes; a uniquely sophisticated tea. This uncommon tea is grown in young, organic soil that contains fine deposits of volcanic ash and barely altered basalt flows. The mineral composition of the soil provides depth and character. Due to the region's close proximity to the equator, sun rays are able to reach the surface of the ground and contribute to photosynthesis, increasing productivity in the tea plant. The perfect balance of dry and rainy growing seasons results in an extremely high level of tips in the tea leaves plucked. The resulting tea has an exquisite, natural honey taste and a tropical sweetness.

Thought it would have more fruit notes, not bad overall.

You have to treat this like a princess January 5, 2018

I'm seeing reviews that his tea is either flavorless or a little harsh. I had that experience when I treated it like a usual black tea that I steeped for 5+ minutes with water straight from the boil.

Then I cranked the steep temperature back to about 180 and only steeped for 2-3 minutes. Wow. Now I can taste all of the fruit and honey and black pepper and other flavors I saw in the description. This is very unique but subtle enough I can drink it regularly. Very nice experience.

ehh...not bad, but wouldn't buy again November 27, 2017

definitely a black tea. . . I didn't taste any grape, raspberry or honey... I did get a bit of a peppery taste. Add some rock sugar or honey and it is drinkable, I was able to finish the pot (8cups) I made.  It won't be one I share with guests and will most likely sit in the back for when I'm sick, because you can't taste anything anyways when your sick...

Okay March 27, 2016

I had high expectations of this tea, somehow it fell a little flat. I couldn't decide whether I liked the black tea flavor, it wasn't as smooth as my preferred blacks, and it didn't have much depth. The berry flavor has a peppery profile that was also unexpected. Overall the light and delicate flavors remind me of sweet white wine - and apparently I don't like that in my tea.
